I was afraid my body would never “be the same”

I joined the postnatal fitness program with Rikki because after I gave birth to my daughter I was very nervous getting back into a workout routine. I originally thought I would be able to go back to working out like I did before the pregnancy after my 6 week clearance, but after having her I realized it would be harder than I thought to do it on my own. I for one wasn’t cleared until 8 weeks due to tearing and even after my “clearance” I did not feel normal or strong enough to do the workouts I had always done. I knew Rikki’s program had helped one of my friends after birth tremendously so I was excited to join.

I loved being apart of this program because it was a community of moms who no matter what stage of post natal they were in, were all going through a similar journey. I also loved how attentive Rikki is to form and customizing each workout to your body and needs specifically. 

Before joining Rikki’s program I was afraid my body would never “be the same”. I felt weak, and so nervous to do workouts I had done my whole life. After training with Rikki and learning my “new” body I learned how to connect with my pelvic floor and strengthen my body from the inside out like I’ve never done before. I felt strong mentally and physically which as a new mom was a huge accomplishment for me. 

I would recommend this program to any mom no matter what type of birth they experienced because I truly believe this program can help so much both physically and mentally. It gave me confidence in knowing I was doing something hugely beneficial for my body. Moms need to remember to take care of themselves as well as their families. We are important too, if we aren’t strong how can we expect ourselves to support our babies or families."
